Reconditioned stairlifts

Reconditioned stairlifts come with the same quality assurances that you would expect from any Stannah stairlift, and are available for both straight and curved staircases.

Home>Our Stairlifts>Reconditioned stairlifts

Unlike buying a stairlift from a private seller, a pre-owned Stannah stairlift will always be fully reconditioned and tested rigorously by our team of engineers and will only receive the Stannah reconditioned certification when it meets our own exacting standards of quality and safety. It will also never be older than 3 years old.

That’s why you can be certain that when a refurbished Stannah stairlift is installed in your home, you’ll have peace of mind that your stairlift of choice will remain of the highest quality – after all, it still has the Stannah family name on it. Our feedback speaks for itself, why not take a look at some of the reviews and testimonials left by our happy customers?

What types of stairlifts are available?

Every house is slightly different, so the type of stairlift you need will depend on the type of stairs that you have. Our reconditioned models include both straight stairlifts and curved stairlifts from our complete range that are no longer required by their owner. That means no matter which model you choose you’ll be benefitting from the high-quality manufacture, testing and safety features that come with a new Stannah stairlift.

If you’re not sure which model suits your needs or is right for your home, we’ve created a range of free resources to help you make the decision. Why not explore our full range, get tips on how to choose a stairlift or find out more about our installation process? Alternatively, why not get in touch with our friendly stairlift experts on 0808 239 2288 who will happily talk through any further questions you may have.

Reconditioned Stairlift FAQs

Do you supply reconditioned stairlifts for curved staircases?

When purchasing a stairlift from Stannah, be that new or reconditioned, we pride ourselves on providing a high-quality solution. This means that when you buy a reconditioned stairlift for your curved staircase, the rail provided would still be manufactured new to match the exact contours and dimensions of your staircase. This not only ensures a smooth journey but also allows us to provide a solution that makes the best use of the available space on the staircase. The chair and carriage that is provided as part of a reconditioned purchase are professionally refurbished by our in-house technical experts and rigorously tested before leaving our factories for complete peace of mind.

How long does it take to install and how disruptive is it?

We do everything we can to ensure that the installation is as quick and convenient as possible. We aim to install a stairlift in just a matter of hours and with the minimum of fuss. Once your stairlift is installed, our engineers tidy up after themselves so that your home is left in exactly the same condition as they found it.

What warranty do I get with my stairlift?

Each reconditioned stairlift comes with a 12-month warranty and one free service.

Can you provide service assistance even if I don't have a service contract?

Yes, we can offer 24-hour, 365 day call out where our engineers can respond to a breakdown, even if you don’t have a service contract. In this event, charges will be advised and agreed when contacting the relevant service branch prior to our visit.

What happens if I no longer need my stairlift?

If you no longer require the use of your stairlift, we can remove and dispose of it in accordance with national environmental standards in our removal scheme.
